East Troy

“Small town charm” is a phrase that describes East Troy, a village that takes pride in its past while embracing present-day activities. Located in northeast Walworth County, many know it as the home of the Alpine Valley Music Theatre, the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum and the East Troy Bluegrass Festival. But to its residents, homegrown events like Maple Syrup Family Fun Day and Santa on the Square are just as fun. East Troy’s village square features a 1920s-eras bandstand and hosts many town events. Its parks offer nature areas, a swimming beach, a skate park, an archery range, playgrounds, picnic areas, dog parks and more.

Good to know: You can experience what it was like to ride an electric trolley or interurban train by visiting the East Troy Railroad, which offers regular train rides April through September.
